I live in a city where snow never falls, but I learned Snow photo manipulation end of 2019.

Snowflakes are beautiful, aren’t they? to me, they are the most magical elements of the earth. they are white, they are soft & they are fragile, like a beautiful woman. I have many poetry thoughts on snowflakes but first, let me greet the upcoming bright year! 2020 should be better but 2019 was also very special to me. Why? maybe because I learned how to create snow in photos! :*> I’m only joking : D, Of course, I’m very happy that I finally learned how to create snowflakes and all the chilly effects to merge all together in photo manipulation, but I’m also very happy and thankful for the space in the web where I can share all my journal & work.

Back to the topic of photo manipulation. yes, a summer photo can be turned into a winter photo with some simple blending options in PS. But what I learned most importantly from my recent work is, that using imagination is the key. The more I looked at the image & more I decided how & where to put the preferred elements, I found the path with accurate results.

The place where I captured the image is a tropical area, My city is very beautiful, but you cannot imagine the snow falling at any time of the year. It can only be manipulated in a photograph. So here’s how I did it: – )

To make it dark & cool, I had to create a foggy sky in the image.

I Replaced the sky – In the original photo it was the summer sky, I collected a winter sky from Pexels.com. From that site, you can download all free high-quality photos which are a really good option for better composite.

Blend if – I turned the Top gray & red slider from Blend if all the way left until I saw the leaves of the trees turning frosty.

Snow Brush – The most satisfying part : > I found a Brush setting in the menu bar in PS, where there are a lot of different styles & shapes already created in the settings. I didn’t have to do much except take the Snowflake Brush & apply it all over the Image.

This season of winter has become more enjoyable for me, Besides hot chocolates & cozy nights I am also creating the snow of my own!
